Regional Military Affairs Committee (RMAC)

The Regional Military Affairs Committee (RMAC) is a civilian based support group that meets monthly with Base Command at JFTB. It’s function is to support the military missions for soldiers and organizations at the 1,400 acre base. In addition to briefing about events and activities at the Joint Forces Training Base, the RMAC also receives briefings and updates from the Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach, and the US Coast Guard Base, Port Long Beach/Los Angeles.

The RMAC also conducts quarterly public tours of the Base, participates in Change if Command Ceremonies, retirement and promotion ceremonies and HERO Missions, when a soldier is returned to family members after losing their life during active duty.

Dean has served as chairman of the RMAC since 2003.

In honor of his father’s service as a Lt. Col. US ARMY, in WW11 and Korea, Dean is also an active member of the Son’s of the American Legion, Los Alamitos Post 716.

Brigadier General “Nick” Ducich, commanded the base for less than a year, had promised revival of local programs, which made him very popular within the local community. Ducich has been reassigned to the Pentagon, where he will “coordinate the National Guard’s response” to homeland security challenges for all 50 states and four U.S. territories.

Please note: We have included many photos on this site so you can get a glimpse of Dean’s dedication and love for Los Alamitos. The people in the photos are not to be thought of as providing an endorsement of Dean.
