He’s A Proven Leader
The Grose family has lived in Los Alamitos for 32 years. Dean is a former business owner, councilman and mayor for the City of Los Alamitos. He is currently involved with many local non-profits in addition to Political, Education, First Responder, and Military groups. Dean Grose has the experience needed for Los Alamitos.
As a retired owner of an on-site medical service company, Dean understands the challenges our first responders face. Tightening of City budgets and an increasing amount of calls for service are tough to balance.
Dean Grose is prepared to provide sound fiscal guidance and develop new non-tax sources of revenue to support essential City Services.
Dean continues to work hard to improve the quality of life for Los Alamitos youngsters and our senior population. He is an instructor and member of the CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) for the LBFD and on the leadership council for the O.C. Medical Reserve Corps.
Protecting our Youth
Dean has the experience needed for Los Alamitos. He has attended a number of Dept. of Justice agency citizens academies and volunteers for these agencies in the community to help inform and educate on the dangers of opioids and drugs; balancing second amendment rights and firearms; and has served on the local Youth Center board of directors for eight years.
Military and Veteran’s Affairs
Since 2003, Dean has chaired the Regional Military Affairs Committee at the Joint Forces Training Base, a civilian committee that meets with JFTB Command, Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station and the Coast Guard Los Angeles/Long Beach base. This group attends promotions, retirements andchanges of command at the base, under the auspices of the Los Alamitos Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the Son’s of the American Legion, Post 716 in Los Alamitos.
